Bed and Breakfast Photo DescriptionLocated on the second floor in the 1895 addition, painted pastel green with white trim, 10 foot ceiling, and original hardwood floor, this architectural Victorian style room with original fireplace with Corinthian columns accenting the green porcelain tile and beveled mirrored full decorative mantel has a 1880's French leather queen-sized bed with Louis XVI beveled mirror armoire and matching tri-fold beveled mirror marble top dresser. The view from the large bay window is the majextic Live Oak trees and historic mansions aligning Government Street. Egyptian paintings on papyrus, Russian icon, and hand painted French lamps, and a hand sown pink panther quilt from Iowa are a few items in the room. Adjacent to the bedroom with a connecting door, the shared bathroom, which has original lion's claw foot over ball bathtub with shower, is brightly lighted by a large bay Victorian style stain glass window within the outiside gable. Ceiling fan, air condition, and cable T.V. with full package. Accommodations are not suitable for children and adults under 21. |
