Mukilteo is a small community on the waters of Puget Sound. The ferry goes every half hour to Whidbey Island. It is about 30 miles from Seattle and 45 minute drive from Sea-Tac airport. Sitting on a log on the beach is a favorite of one and all in Mukilteo. The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival is the first week-end in September. A new train station was recently installed. There are two bed and breakfast and several hotel/motels in the area. All are within walking distance of fine restaurants.
