The Sunroom overlooks our yard and flower beds and is drenched in morning light. Breakfast is served here (the tile floor has radiant heat, so feel free to wear your slippers to table), and the room is available throughout your stay for game-playing, visiting or just plain sitting. Ask us about holding a bridal shower or wine-tasting here.

Front Porch
The Front Porch is an old-fashioned American original, with comfortable chairs and a peaceful western view of Jenkins Mountain and Shenandoah National Park. Perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails, not to mention an afternoon nap – because Gay Street ends in front of our house, it is always quiet here.

Our gardens, like most, are works in progress, and they include the plants you’d expect to find in a country garden – daffodils, tulips, irises and lilies, as well as mature pine trees, aged boxwoods and other less common species (our boxwood trimmings each year end up in holiday wreaths sold by local non-profit organizations). Our rear yard is comprised mainly of a large lawn, good for bocce ball, croquet, badminton, horseshoes and similar outdoor pursuits.
