Orange Virginia is a unique historical wonder with numerous historical buildings, with a broad spectrum of architectual designs still standing. The town name came from William, Prince of Orange and was established, in 1749, as the county seat for Orange County, the largest County in Virginia. The Town of Orange and teh surrounding area have become a tourist destination and boasts 9 Bed and Brekfasts and two hotels. Three of the Bed and Breakfasts are National Historic Registry properties. The Town of Orange was recently featured on the PBS Series, "Road Trip to History" which not only highlighted the extensive history of the region, but featured two of the historical Bed and Breakfasts.
Orange is definately worth a visit - especially if you like history, natural beauty, golf, Presidential mansions, Sky Diving, Horseback riding and if you want to sample some supurb wine at 8 nearby wineries.
