The original house was built in 1829 with bricks made on the property, and over the years several additions were constructed by previous owners.Explore the grounds and you will find remnants of servants' cabins, a restored spring house and a time-worn corn crib. The house is rumored to have been a stagecoach stop for the weary traveler between Staunton and Roanoke.
