Ten minutes from Interstate 89, 20 minutes from Montpelier, the state's capital, and less than an hour from Burlington--as well as the states's major ski trails--the inn offers a low key alternative for a relaxing vacation year round. Its c.1840 farmhouse faces the historic Floating Bridge, Sunset Lake, and Ariels, one of Vermonts best restaurants. Recreational opportunities abound: Sunset lake (across the road) is a pastoral spot in which to swim, fish, kayak, and canoe. Nearby is wonderful mountain biking, hiking, groomed cross country skiing trails and snowshoeing.
