Explore Spring City - Utah's best preserved Mormon village! Take a hike, ride a bike, or travel through town as the pioneers did - in a mule drawn wagon or a horse drawn carriage. When Highway 89 by passed Spring City. it caused an economic disadvantage which almost turned the village into a ghost town. Now, the wonderful collection of architectural gems of log, adobe and structures of native oolite stonework have been lovingly restored by new owners.
For a tour of pioneer homes, come on Heritage Day, each year on Saturday before Memorial Day. To see over 20 artists studios (most are pioneer homes) come on September 1, 2007 for the 2nd annual Spring city Artists Studio Tour. Or, visit 2 days earlier to watch the landscape artists painting for the plein air competition!
Looking for some Rest & Relaxation? Come anytime to experience the peace and quiet of this historic district where the only traffic jams you mey get caught in are traveling herds of sheep!
When taking a self guided walking tour of the area, be sure to include the Old School, Orson Hydes house, Judge Johnson's Mansion, Relief Society Granary, Bishop's Storehouse and the LDS meeting house. The DUP museum is also a must see.

For places to shop: The Horseshoe Mountain Pottery is a favorite stop and is always open. If you are lucky, you will meet Joe the potter working at his wheel. The Sanpete Spur & Silver has the most beautiful handmade silver jewelry and unique cowboy items. The art center has a great variety of fine art from the many local artists and craftsman.
You will enjoy the hometown atmosphere at our local eatery "Spring City Kitchen" and don't forget to try out the spring water from the fountain that never stops running.
