Jackson is the heart of West Tennesse as Interstate 40 runs through the northern section of town. It's a great central location for history travelers interested in the War Between the States and Jackson's bed and breakgfast make a wonderful and relaxing place to stay while touring the area which includes Grant's stop over on his way to Shiloh. David Crockett told us to "go to hell" when we failed to re-elect him to Congress (Did TV's Davy know he was a Congressman? and he left town for Texas and the Alamo.
