Greeneville is a town steeped in history. Birthplace of the 17th president, Andrew Johnson. Davy Crockett was born just North on the Nolichuckey River and the first gatering of the Cherokee Nation was South of town near the Nolichuckey River. Downtown Greeneville is full of historic homes. There is even a cannon ball left over from the Civil War in the bricks of a church on Main Street.
