Bed and Breakfast Inn Description

The Inn on Maple Street B&B, A Port Allegany bed and breakfast, is a turn of the century, oversized Victorian home that remained in the same McKean County family for over eight decades. This Port Allegany bed and breakfast is one block off scenic and historic Route 6. We are part of the Route 6 Artisan Trail. Nearby attractions are Denton Hill (for mountain biking and skiing), the World War II museum and the Allegheny National Forest for hiking and camping. Our comfortable home is decorated with both antiques and for relaxing. Many of the original handcrafted oak woodwork and stained glass remains through out the Inn. When you enter our foyer, the split staircase will impress you. Oversized pocket doors separate all our common rooms. You are invited to sit on our wide front porch filled with comfortable cushioned wicker chairs and watch small town America meander by while you're sipping lemonade. Lounge in our Library in front of the century old gas fireplace. Browse the bookcases for your choice of reading. Take a slow walk our old fashion neighborhood to view the beautiful architecture of the previous century. In the morning we offer full home baked multi course breakfasts which some guests have called 'gourmet'. The Inn on Maple Street Bed & Breakfast is open all year so families and friends can join for the holidays. Our Inn has a family oriented atmosphere where children are welcome and well behaved pets are part of the family. We are a smoke-free Inn.
