Originally, only a railroad stop, in the Oklahoma Territory, the rails brought the people to Guthrie the morning of April 22, 1889 and by 6pm there were 10,000 residents. The buildings they built are still standing and in use today. The lives they lived, their industriousness, and the descendents of those individuals are alive, well and still at home in Guthrie.
