Bed and Breakfast Inn Description

Ravenwood Castle sits atop the highest hill in scenic Vinton County's Swan township. Fifty acres of forest and large rock formations surround the castle which reached by a half-mile private road.

Twelfth-century Norman in style, Ravenwood Castle's crenelated towers contain the guest rooms and suites, all with elegant private baths which include garden or whirlpool tubs. Most rooms or suites offer a private balcony or deck and all have a gas fireplace with antique mantle. All have antique stained glass windows and/or lamps. Each has king, queen or two double beds and good reading lamps.

A Great Hall with a roaring stone fireplace at one end sets the stage for overnight visits and special occasions. At the other end are three large stained glass windows from an old church.
