Dover's first millionaire, JR Reeves, built this beautiful mansion from the money he made in the steel business. Unlike other Victorian Mansion museums, The Reeves mansion has all of the original family furniture and dishes. There is also a beautiful carriage house and perennial gardens. You will take a guided tour back in time.The Dover Olde World Bed and Breakfast is located just min. away from both of these treasured places. The town of Dover also has many resturants, churches,antique stores, and a shopping mall. The town of Dover is located adjacent to the heart of Ohio's Amish country, just 3 miles from Sugarcreek. You can visit the many wineries, cheese Haus's, Amish crafts, quilt shops, and Amish resturants in the area. After a day of shopping, or wine tasting, you can head back to Dover's Olde World Bed and Breakfast for a relaxing nights stay. The Dover Bed and Breakfast is also located just 20 min. form the Dennision Train Depot Historical Museum. The depot was famous during world war II for its Salvation Army Canteen that served free food to all of the soldiers that can on the trains from around the counrty. You can take a tour in the trains restored to look as if you back in the war days.Dennison Depot was known to the soldiers as "Dreamsville" Ohio.
