Cloudcroft is located in the Sacramento Mountains with a population of approximately 700 full time residents. During the summer, the population swells, as the "heat dwellers" flock to the cool mountain pines. At an elevation of over 8,000 feet, the summer time highs average upper 70s with night time lows in the 40s. During the winter, daytime highs can be anywhere from 20 to 50 degrees, with overnight lows anywhere from 0 to 30. Visit the Cloudcroft Museum and experience life in a one room log cabin! Get married in the old chapel or at the beautiful Cloudroft Lodge. Eat at Big Daddy's diner for some of the best local food and hospitality. Be sure to shop on Burro Street, complete with wooden boardwalk and hitching posts!
