The Cottage on the River is a completely restored 1920’s “Cottage Style” Bed and Breakfast, located on a bluff, overlooking the Toms River. The ocean beaches, Island Beach State Park, and the Seaside Heights and Point Pleasant boardwalks are only a few minute’s drive away.

We are open year round and located just over an hour away from Atlantic City, Manhattan and Philadelphia. Island Heights is home for the Ocean County Artist Guild, Nelson’s Marina Sailing School, Island Heights Yacht Club and over 100 restored Victorian homes. It is ideal for leisurely walks and biking. Fishing and crabbing are just a step away.
