The beautiful seacoast town of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire was established in 1623. It is situated on the Atlantic Ocean with Seabrook Beach to the south, Rye Beach and Portsmouth to the north. New Hampshire has 17 miles of seacoast and the view, the sea air, the surf is an attraction to all ages. A Hampton Beach has activities for the young and the young at heart. Our Cliff House at Seaview Bed and Breakfast is ideally situated to accomodate a wonderful vacation or get-a-way experience. Hampton Beach sandy beaches (with lifeguards), nightly entertainment, great restaurants and pubs, lobster pounds, fishing excursions, boating and airplane rides are all here.
Every Wednesday night the is a fireworks display that lights up the dark skies over the ocean. At they season, apple orchards, blueberry picking and the changing of leaves are breathtaking. Hampton Beach has many outlet stores within 10 miles. Our Cliff House at Seaview Bed and Breakfast is in walking or biking distance to two great beach. One of our Hampton Beach's is home to surfers. A great place to 'hang ten'. The local surf shop rents all the gear and surfboards needed. Our other close beach is at Plaice Cove, a quiet cove protected with a rocky jetty fulled with ocean's treasures (clam, sea crabs, etc.)
There are historical forts, ports, old cemetaries, picturest harbors, lighthouses and the infamous Islands of Shoals where Blackbeard the Pirate is said to roam. One of Islands of Shoals is the Marine Labortory for the University of New Hampshire. Rye Harbour has boat excursions to the Islands, fishing day or half-day trip and, a must - Whale Watching.
