Thayer’s Historic Bed & Breakfast is an 11 room, luxury plus, B&B built in 1895 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Completely updated in 2004, Thayer's today has authentic antiques, private baths, whirlpools, gardens and off street parking. Thayer's B&B is a friendly, haunted, award winning, treasure located just West of the Twin Cities and south of St. Cloud, MN in the ‘heart of the lakes’ region.Owner, Sharon Gammell is a trusted psychic and a self taught gourmet chef that has had 4 successful restaurants in the Twin Cities. She cooks without recipes and has an eye and imagination for delightful twists that tempt even the most discerning palate.
Included with every stay is a breakfast that will knock your socks off. Sharon can take the ordinary to new and extraordinary. Preferring traditional to trendy, her food takes on a comfortable, familiar character, but don’t be fooled, she is not traditional.
Sharon loves a challenge and her cooking is truly a gift from her heart to her guests. When special diets are required, even foods that are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, soy and sugar free, Vegan, Vegetarian and Heart Healthy, you can be confident that you will experience unequaled cuisine, rich in flavor and presentation. Special diets are not an issue for this amazing chef.
Thayer’s B&B has a reputation for being a place everyone is welcomed. Thayer's owner, her 2 friendly Maine Coon cats and her staff are hospitable and considerate.
