The Huron River runs through Ypsilanti, Michigan, the second oldest city in Michigan with over 800 homes in the Historic District.Ypsilanti is pronounced ip-sa-lan-ti, or as local refer to it...Ypsi. In this park many festivals and events occur throughout the summer.Ypsilanti's Parish House Inn is only two blocks from the park which makes it a popular destination for event goers. Every Thursday evening from June through September, Depot Town hosts a "Cruise Night". Area hot rods display their restored cars and a DJ plays popular music from an earlier era. Downtown boasts the free summer outdoor Friday night concert series on Washington Street, which is just one block from Ypsilanti's Parish House Inn. Historic Ypsilanti, Michigan, is a city rich with quaint architecture and updated venues.
