Huntingtown, Maryland, once a bustling sea-port town along the Patuxent River, is now a quiet, rural community of approximately 3,000 in Southern Maryland's Calvert County, "The Charm of the Chesapeake". While visitors will still observe tobacco fields while in Huntingtown, tobacco is no longer the thriving business it once was. Downtown Huntingtown is home to Bowen's Grocery, a Mom-and-Pop grocery & deli, ice cream & snack shop. Another famiy-owned business, Hatcher's Supply, still provides local farmers with feed, hay, and other necessities. The volunteer Fire Department is an active, community-involved organinzation and Old Town Automobile is a great place to relive memories of automobiles of yesteryear.
