Bed and Breakfast Inn Description
The Seaside Inn Bed and Breakfast is an 1850's sea captain's home overlooking Port Clyde Harbor. We're at the very tip of the St. George Peninsula in Penobscot Bay.The inn is Welcoming and Inviting ~ with Cozy Beds and lots of plump pillows, Breakfast overlooking the harbor, and a complimentary snack in the evening. A selection of Teas, Cocoa, and Fresh Brewed Coffee is available for guests in our Fireplaced Library any time. We do all we can to help each guest relax and enjoy some time away.
Because sometimes the only way you can get away is if you can stay in touch, free wireless internet access (WIFI) is available in each guestroom and throughout the inn.
There are Water Views from the Breakfast Room, Library, Outdoor Decks and Grounds, and the fourth floor Cupola has a near-panoramic view of Port Clyde Harbor. Bring your paints, your sketch book, your journal or your camera. Professional and amateur artists of all kinds find inspiration in Port Clyde.
The Seaside Inn is open to guests May through November.

While you're here, be sure to visit Marshall Point Lighthouse. On a winding road about one mile from the Inn, it is one of the most photographed and painted lighthouses in Maine. The lighthouse and grounds can be visited year-round and the former lightkeeper's house is now a museum open to the public in season. Drift Inn Beach, a small sandy beach with rocky tidal pools and a great source for driftwood, is a quick drive or a 20 minute walk away.Monhegan Boatline, the Dip Net Restaurant, Village Ice Cream Shop and the Port Clyde General Store are all just across the road and there is a cozy Italian restaurant 5 minutes away. A short drive brings you to the restaurants, shops, movie theatres and museums of Rockland and Thomaston. Port Clyde is a great home base for day trips to L.L. Bean and the outlet stores of Freeport, the sights of Bar Harbor or the activities in Camden.
