A Hancock County Bed & Breakfast in the Wonderful State of Maine

Bed and Breakfast Inn Description

The Yankee Lady Inn is a beautifully maintained 15-room Victorian house built in the coastal village of Bar Harbor, Maine. Within walking distance of the shops and restaurants, you'll be able to leave your car in the yard and walk also to the waterfront. Acadia National Park and the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, ferry boat terminal are both 5 minutes away by car.

Breakfast is served every morning to guests in the dining room downstairs. A front room (parlor) is available for guest use. A back porch is used for bicycle storage.

The hostess is a Maine native whose family dates to 1763 on MDI. She has spent a lifetime studying the rocks of Mt. Desert Island. She theorizes the area's geologic features may have given birth to one of humankind's most enduring legends, the story of Atlantis. The hostess is author of the guide her guests asked her to write. Island geology discussed at breakfast! "Rock hounds" welcomed!

Your Bar Harbor vacation will be complete by choosing lodging in this in-town Victorian Bed and Breakfast in the greater Acadia, Mt Desert Island, Bar Harbor Region.
