Dubuque is a lovely upper Mississippi River town that cherishes its history. For about 100 years there were more millionaires per capita than any where in the United States. Most of the lumber cut on the Mississippi River was sent to Dubuque to be milled. There were several ship works, as most of the River Boats and Steam Boats in the world were made here for many years.
