As one of the original homesteads in Wauconda, the home boasts a rich history of the area and home owners. Part of that history includes a dairy farm selling ice cream and milk out of the barn, important family members involved in local and national community efforts, and owners of the Hi Low Grocery Stores in Chicago. Local community events include Civil War Days, Wauconda Rodeo, Holiday Walk in December and Farmers Market in the Summer.
