Vacation Rental Description

Sea Horse Beach Studio is a fully-furnished, beach-close studio apartment ideal for romantic getaways and business travelers too. It comfortable accommodates two people. It is located in San Clemente’s popular North Beach arts and entertainment District, less than a mile from San Clemente’s historic downtown.

The studio features rich, warm tile flooring from Spain, a custom Tuscany queen wrought iron bed, original art and comfortable furnishings, desk, couch, chair, full kitchen and bath, free wireless and cable, full mirrored closet, TV, DVD player, cd player, alarm clock, and a small patio with seating area. It is equipped with central heat, ceiling fan, and portable air conditioner.
The studio’s full kitchen is equipped with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, espresso maker, cookware, bake ware, utensils, glassware, silverware, serving dishes, kitchen towels, etc.
Bed/bath linens, aromatherapy toiletries, robes, hair dryer, iron, beach towels, beach chairs, beach mats, beach umbrellas as well books, playing cards and board games are available for guest use.

Rainbow Sandal Factory – these trendy leather flip flops are the rage throughout the country and abroad and cost only $33 to $36 at the factory store. Turn right on De la Grulla,, turn left on El Camino Real, turn right on Pico and turn right on Los Molinos. The factory is immediately on the left.

New San Clemente beach trail – alongside the Pacific Ocean/train tracks from North Beach to South Beach (Califia State Beach)…wonderful walk (pet friendly). Turn left on Florencia. Turn right on Pelayo. Turn right on Buena Vista. Take the “204” steps down to Dije Beach. The beach trail goes right to North Beach and left to the Pier and Califia beach.

Sunset at the pier – locals love the bar side of Fisherman’s for happy hour appetizers and dinners and the best picture postcard golden sunsets in Southern California. To walk there, turn left on Florencia. Turn right on Pelayo. Turn right on Buena Vista. Take the “204” steps down to Dije Beach and turn left on the beach trail ½ mile to the Pier. To drive there, turn right on De la Grulla, right on El Camino Real, right on Del Mar Avenue and park near the pier.

Walking the pier – nothing beats a walk on our grand old wooden pier to watch the surfers, folks fishing off the pier, beautiful views, incredible sunsets and indulge in just plain old people watching

Walking barefoot in the sand – San Clemente has some of the cleanest beaches in Southern California. We give up our Rainbow sandals temporarily for a leisurely stroll on the beach.

Historic Del Mar Avenue downtown shopping district- 60 shops a block from the Always Inn and a mile from the Always Beach Vacation Rentals.

Sunday Morning Farmer’s Market – on Avenida Del Mar from Ola Vista to Seville – fresh locally grown and organic fruits and vegetables, flowers, orchid and succulent plants, potted herbs, breads, and aromatherapy toiletries to boot.

San Clemente Wine Company – on Avenida Del Mar, just a short walk from Always Inn, this wine shop has wine tastings several times a week. (Barney Doyle, the owner, was a guitarist for The Grateful Dead).

Villa Cucina – on Avenida Del Mar, just a short walk from Always Inn, this store offers a wide selection of kitchen ware and culinary related gifts for the avid cook and gourmand.

San Clemente Art Fair – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the first Sunday of each month with up and coming and established artists displaying their craft, food on Avenida del Mar to Ola ista

Cabrillo Playhouse – kitty corner from the inn – has plays several times a year.

Casa Romantica – home of San Clemente’s founder, Ole Hanson, the Casa is now a historic site, with beautiful gardens overlooking the Pacific Ocean (Freda and Kevin were married there at Sunset in November 2005).

Local gardens –our little Spanish Village by the Sea boasts incredible gardens with native plantings and fragrant blooms of gardenia, star jasmine, geraniums and herbs such as rosemary, lavender, lemon verbena and more. A walk through the streets of South San Clemente is a gardener’s dream.

San Juan Capistrano Mission – we consider it the jewel of the mission chain in California - right on De La Grulla, left on El Camino Real, right on Pico to I-5 North. Exit Ortega Highway and turn left. The mission is two blocks on the right.

Dana Point Harbor – turn right on De la Grulla, turn left on El Camino Real and turn north on Pacific Coast Highway 1 north about ½ mile, stay in the second to left lane. Turn left on Dana Point Harbor Drive...plethora of restaurants, great sailboats, power boats and yachts to oooh and aaahh over, and California seal watching, plus a tall ship to tour.

Laguna Beach - take El Camino Real to Highway 1 North 10 miles...a picturesque beach with a marine pool, two of our favorite restaurants (Las Brisas on the cliff and Sapphire in the old Pottery Barn building), the real local Pottery Barn (ask for Phyllis) for wonderful souvenirs and garden art, and shops and galleries galore.

Paul Mitchell Beauty School, hair cut and color for $20-30 depending on highlights/lowlights, etc. I-5 North to I-405 North to Harbor Blvd. Turn left. Turn right into parking lot at the corner of Adams.
