Our greatest claim to fame would be the fact that a part of Lewis Smith Lake is found in our community. Lewis Smith Lake is a 21,200 acre man-made lake with approximately 500 miles of shoreline. There is a museum that is dedicated to the founding of Cullman, Al. just a few miles away. Hurricane Park is a recreation area where you can hike to your hearts content! About a 45 minute drive in one direction will find you at a natural bridge with wonderful nature trails that seem to stay cool even in the summer. A 45 minute drive in the other direction will find you at Huntsville, Al Space and Rocket Center. There are many antique stores both inside Cullman and all the surronding communities.
